Thanks. Makes sense and seems to be consistent with the other items in my reference list. The APSA guidebook of 1993 says it should be ordered chronologically: http://writing.wisc.edu/Handbook/DocAPSA_RefList_Format.html The style manual of 2006 …

Alright, a file search made the difference! https://gist.github.com/924887

@ adam At the time I eventually used APA 6 and edited the bibliography by hand. The style doesn't seem to be in my Zotero list of styles and I can't think of a place where I saved it on my laptop. Will check on my desktop computer this evening, but…

OK, thanks for your reply.

It seems to me this style is almost done. So, if somebody has a chance, making these adjustments could actually get it completed. How about that?

For all items they want page numbers shortened such as in pp. 178-98. Books: The "." following the year need to be removed. Book chapters: The "." following the year need to be removed. Journal Articles: The "." following the year need to be…

Great. I am testing it. Yes, I know about APSA. Since you are an archeologist, I wonder what you did there actually? ;) This is off-topic: I checked your profile. Since I am also into China studies, I find your record very impressive. I particular…

Great! Where can I find the style? Here? http://gist.github.com/561755

I meant that newspapers seem not to have been formatted according to the PS style guide. The current format is this (the 'section' field does not appear): Klein, J. (2002, June 12). 'How the Solidarity Dream Turned Sour', Guardian, 7. and the st…

submission approaching ...

update. Zotero seems to work now after I restarted the computer. I'll keep you posted if this issue comes up again.
-
Ok. Thanks for the update.
-
Did that. Changed it back from 'firefox directory' to the file on my hard disk. Restarted ff. Zotero still does not work. 'There was an error starting zotero'.
-
Would really appreciate if somebody could do these alterations. I need to submit my paper soon and it would be great if I could use the style by then. Cheers!

Let me join in the masses who think this issue needs to be addressed and bump this thread up. There is also a related issue. When you cite classics, lets say a book published in 1919, but your edition is published in 1999, you would often like to …

Thanks. Ok. I had synced my database from this computer these days. Could that be the reason? Do you reckon I should do the 'upgrade'? What is the risk?
-
A few details I found while testing: Journal articles ... need a space in between the volume and issue. Also, it seems they want the first numeral in page numbers shortened such as in pp. 178-98. Paper presented They want the sentence "Paper p…

Just downloaded the file again and it had the csl ending. My apologies if I somehow - no idea how - unintentionally changed the extension. Anyway, the citation style runs smoothly and so far it looks good. I am pretty tired now though and better ta…

Thanks. It was .cls - over read the difference. I manually changed it into csl. Now I am prompted to install. Will report how it went later.
-
I followed these instructions but the file extension is cls. It is also classified as a cls file in 'file type'. I dunno why but I am not prompted to install anything when I draw the file into firefox. All I see the above error message and the prog…

uhmm, I neither get prompted to install, nor can I find the style in Zotero. And Windows Vista seems not to have added xml to the file. ???
-
Thanks for the promt action. FF means firefox? If I drag it into firefox I get this message: "This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below." ???

The italics are not displayed here. I have the comparison it in a word file though. I can send it or attach it somewhere if necessary.

Yes, that was a mistake. I corrected it.

Here is a comparison between American Psychological Association 6th Edition and the Political Studies Style References Similar APA6 (Dickson, 2005) (Dickson 2005a; Dickson, 2005b) (Dickson, 2005, pp.47-48) (Eckstein, 1988; Freedom House, 2002) PS …

Will follow up later today.

Yup. It was the trash folder. Thanks a bunch!
-
Thanks for the prompt replies. I'll give it a try.

Sorry, I have no idea how to change a style in Zotero. Can I do that myself?
