And for your personal library, you can also sync files using a WebDAV service, rather than Zotero servers. There are many WebDAV services that provide free storage space. https://www.zotero.org/support/kb/webdav_services

A ‘classic’ item type is part of CSL 1.0.2 for this purpose. That should be available in the next few months. Once CSL 1.0.2 is released, you can tell Zotero to treat an item as that type by adding this to the top of Extra: Type: classic
-
CSL 1.1 will be released some time this spring. It will likely be supported by Zotero’s citation processor in 2021.
-
Support for institution abbreviations is coming in CSL 1.1
-
That isn’t likely to help. Please do the things dstillman said immediately above.
-
The Extra field is at the bottom of the item pane in Zotero. If you put “Publisher: Sage” in the Extra field, that will get picked up by citations. What language are you working with in Zotero?
-
If collections, tags, and notes are important, then having them submit Zotero Reports is also an option.
-
You can add additional fields to Extra like this: Publisher: Sage Any valid CSL field entered like that will get picked up for citations. See https://Zotero.org/support/kb/item_types_and_fields
-
You can add a translator to Extra like this: Translator: Last || First A. That will appear in citations and be migrated to a proper field when it is added.
-
But in general, BibLaTeX is a better option nowadays
-
Be sure the “Include URL in paper articles” box is checked on the Cite pane of Zotero preferences.
-
Zotero is now always a standalone app, separate from your browser (this was due to changes in Firefox forcing it, but it has had a lot of benefits since then). The Connector is what connects your browser (any of the major ones) to Zotero.
-
If someone changed to a style that included abstract, could that be pulled into the embedded data at that point?
-
@emilianoeheyns How does BibLaTeX handle case conversion with non-Latin characters? CSL spec is being updated to say they should only apply to Latin.
-
It’s just how the change case function is written. BBT’s has a few extra nice handlings compared to Zotero’s
-
I think the BBT Sentence Case function does this @emilianoeheyns

It’s not possible to have live-updating citations like in Word—OneNote doesn’t have a plugin system like Word does that would enable that. My suggestion would be to use the Zutilo plugin. Then, rather than inserting (Author, 2000) citations, inser…

Help me understand how this is part of your larger workflow. Are you then intending to copy these paragraphs into a Word document later? Or are these just your research notes?
-
What exactly are you doing in onenote? What is be type of integration you are looking for? If you are wanting to link your notes to Zotero items, you can copy Zotero Select Item zotero:// links using the Zutilo plugin to Zotero, then add these to …
-
Is this for a particular journal or publisher? Do you have a link for the style guide?
-
On the underline, see https://www.zotero.org/support/kb/citations_underlined
-
In Jurism, it’s possible to indicate author affiliations in this way, but it’s not possible in vanilla Zotero I don’t believe. @fbennett is that correct?
-
I would cite these as just Magazine Article.
-
No, no changes here.
-
So there are two item types that these would generally fall under—Report or Treaty. What is the specific item you are looking to cite?
-
The default Zotero BibTeX translator will use a citation key stored in Extra like: Citation key: Jones2012 I think that should work with Overleaf too?
-
Do you have a link to the previous discussion?
-
Yes, tomorrow morning (US holidays slowed things down)
-
@dstillman updated yesterday in citeproc-js https://github.com/Juris-M/citeproc-js/issues/171
-
You can use HTML formatting tags. In this case
