Okay, I figured out the issue. Currently the "Podcaster" variable is mapped to CSL 'author' instead of CSL 'host'. When an author is present, then guest currently isn't shown in the APA style. To get the full APA citation, enter both 'host' and '…

For now, Enter the name of the podcast in Extra like this: Container title: Compor Mundos Enter the Guest like this: Guest: Viegas || Vandas

Unfortunately, Word for Mac in general will degrade in performance with 400 footnotes (generated by Zotero or not). Disabling automatic updates in Document Preferences in the Zotero menu in Word could help, but most of the slowdown is coming from Wo…
-
You can enter any CSL variable into Extra like that and it will be picked up for citations: https://docs.citationstyles.org/en/stable/specification.html#appendix-iv-variables
-
Ah yes, Statute is the label
-
The Zotero type you’re looking for is “Legislation”
-
In your previous thread, the lead developer indicated that localization is in the works. https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/120450/how-to-change-the-language-of-the-the-zotero-plug-in-in-word My understanding is that localization requires some pr…

(If preferred for organization, entering this as a Conference Paper will also get the same formatting for APA style as with Journal Article.)
-
Formatting depends on the citation style you use. Some styles, such as APA, Chicago, and Bluebook, have specific formatting for legal items programmed, but other rely on generic formatting used across item types. Also, most legal data sources do not…
-
Ah, yes, there is only an option for a general contributor role, not one specific to other contributions. In the case of something like secondary translators, I would personally probably just enter as a general Contributor or omit this information.
-
@damnation @dstillman I notice that in the generated page, derived labels aren't showing the CSL mapping (e.g., proceedingsTitle -> container-title https://pobrien333.github.io/zot2csl/#conferencePaper or dictionaryTitle -> container-title htt…

Enter these as “Contributor” in the creator dropdown in Zotero. These will be cited with “with” or similar in styles that support them (eg, APA style). Note that most styles have not yet been updated to include this creator and that most styles guid…

That is, add this to Extra to ensure items will be automatically converted if a Periodical type is added: type: periodical
-
Enter dates in Extra as: Issued: yyyy-mm-dd
-
I would use Journal Article and just enter the relevant information.
-
Are you sure that’s part of the bibliography and not other text? Delete the bibliography and that text and re-insert the bibliography
-
Please submit a PR to the CSL style GitHub repo. If you want to submit the no initials/no ampersand version to my zotero-tools GitHub repo, I’d host it there (but personally I would strongly recommend following APA style and including the initials/a…
-
I would use Conference Paper for this. It’s intended for conference/congress papers published in proceedings—very similar to what you are thinking about.
-
It is correct APA style to add given names to disambiguate authors with the same family name. You should leave the style as-is.
-
The correct CSL way to do this is to enter this in Extra: status: Ahead of print
-
This is controlled by the citation style. What style are you using?
-
No, that workflow has significant downsides compared to the recommended approach to add items using the Zotero Connector button in your browser. It isn’t something that Zotero will add or support.
-
Can you give an example of what you mean? The number of citations has nothing at all to do with formatting.
-
Zotero/CSL cannot currently do this style of compound referencing that is used in chemistry
-
You can enter a date range in Extra like this: issued: 1938/1940
-
You should edit item data in your Zotero library, not in the Word document. After editing the items, click the Refresh button in the Zotero tab in Word to update the bibliography
-
In that case, enter the date in Extra like this issued: 1907-06-00/1907-07-00
-
I’m not sure what you mean—the AMA CSL style uses the “doi:” prefix not “https://doi.org/“ https://github.com/citation-style-language/styles/blob/master/american-medical-association.csl To be clear, you should enter the DOI number alone in the DOI…

The CSL type for a full periodical is “periodical”. You can tell Zotero to cite an item as a “periodical” by entering this in Extra: type: periodical Note that most CSL styles have not been updated yet to specifically handle “periodical” types
