Still crashing on 149
-
These are some very old DOIs from Wiley with the < and > characters in them that don’t work with many of the DOI APIs (which a variety of services, including Zotero, use). Thankfully they are pretty rare
-
Multi-calendar support is currently limited to the Japanese calendar (because the developer of Zotero’s citation processor is a Japanese legal scholar). For now, the available option is to enter the whole date string formatted into Extra like this: …
-
For this specific case though, there is an APA (single-spaced) style in the repository.
-
I’m not sure exactly what you mean. Could you expand your question a bit?
-
No mine is still persisting on 148. I see the splash screen for about 17 seconds before it crashes.
-
That is, click two-bar button next to each name so there are separate (last) and (first) fields for each name. The single (full name) field is for organizational names.
-
Click the Editor label and change it to Author https://www.zotero.org/support/kb/edited_volumes_and_book_chapters

It’s entirely possible it’s some sort of bug in Zotfile. If that is the case, it’s probably unlikely to be fixed. Zotfile hasn’t seen active development in some years. Personally I recommend not trying to organize your PDFs into folders yourself. In…

Zotero is exporting those--it is the citation style that isn't written to handle the narrator and medium variables. It would need to be updated.
-
For the census, I would suggest either Report or, to cite as a dataset, any item type with “Type: dataset” entered in Extra.
-
This would be entirely due to the behavior of Dropbox sync on your computer and GoodReader sync on your iPad—nothing to do with Zotero. Note though, that you may want to instead sign up for the official Zotero iPad app beta. This works directly wi…
-
You can disconnect your account from the sync pane of Zotero preferences. But note that the local Zotero program isn’t designed to be logged in and out. You should generally keep the app logged into one account. I suggest using one Zotero account fo…

Can you give an example? In general, Google Scholar has very poor metadata. I wouldn’t be surprised if they cut it off at 10 authors. You will generally get better results by clicking through to the publisher webpage and importing from there.
-
The correct method for storing audiobooks is as Book. You can add the narrator in Extra like this: Narrator: Dale || Jim You can indicate the format of the book in Extra as well on another line: Medium: Audiobook There is no need for a discrete i…

Do you want the names to be displayed with the particles before the name too, or drop but for display but keep for sorting?
-
You could create standalone notes in Zotero itself. Check out the beta version, which adds a new modern note taking tool and PDF reader. If you want an external app, I like Microsoft OneNote. You can copy onenote:// links to your notebook pages an…
-
I believe it's the first one that is attached. You can click the dropdown arrow to the left of the item title to show all the attachments and select another as well.
-
If I recall the style manual for Chicago correctly, this is the correct behavior.
-
What journal or publisher is this?
-
Open that CSL file and go down to the “bibliography” section near the bottom. Add sort="descending" to the “key” for date-sort
-
The APA “curriculum vitae” style on the Zotero repository sorts the bibliography by date if that is what you are looking for
-
You can add Illustrator for an item in Extra like this: Illustrator: de Gaulle || Charles That will get picked up and included in citation styles that include the ‘illustrator’ variable.
-
The counsel would generally not be cited for a document line that. See section R24 here in the IndigoBook, which is compatible with the standard BlueBook for US legal referencing. https://law.resource.org/pub/us/code/blue/IndigoBook.html A citati…

Correct APA 7th edition does not include “song recorded by Prince”. APA 7th edition cites the recording artist as the author.
-
It’s not currently shown in the built in editor (improvements to the editor are planned), but you can open the CSL file in a more fully featured programming text editor, such as Atom Editor or Visual Studio Code (both free) to see line numbers for t…
-
You should enter edition into the Edition field. If the item type doesn’t have an Edition field, enter it in Extra like this: Edition: 3 Note that that exact structure is needed for Zotero to recognize this is the edition variable
-
Yes, I think that check will work. Publisher IDs in the DOI system are restricted to numeric I believe
-
If you are planning on using Zotero with BibTeX or Markdown, you should install the BetterBibTeX plugin. This adds a bunch of features for users working with these systems, including displaying a persistent citation key for items.

See here for how to enter a track on an album: https://www.zotero.org/groups/2205533/test_items_library/collections/MR2N872S/items/3YQ96FHJ/item-details
