For date ranges, enter it in Extra like this: Issued: 2010-10-31/2015-10-31 For entering podcast data to fit APA style, see https://www.zotero.org/groups/2205533/test_items_library/collections/MR2N872S/items/HWIMSJBJ/item-details And https://www…

Got it. Thanks!

Citation label would be the preferred variable for actual appearance in a document ala WiHe21, so maybe an option to pin with that variable?
-
Yes, it should be usable right now
-
CSL 1.0.2 just adds new terms, types, and variables, so nothing to upgrade on Zotero’s side. If a key is stored as Citation key: Key:withColon I think it should work
-
I would suggest pasting the output first into a text editor like Notepad, then copying again to import. That should alleviate the copying issue you saw. So, the style file reformats correctly? That’s good. On the computer where it did not appear…

That’s probably citeproc’s Key: Value syntax (it does not limit extraction to only valid CSL fields) CSL 1.0.2, launching officially on Jan 1, has citation-key and citation-label variables, so embedding the key in Extra with citation-key would be g…

Most Zotero users use their library to write many different papers, so it doesn’t make sense to permanently mark items by default when they are cited in one paper.
-
Thanks, I got that far, but I don’t have any bibliographies in Word, so I couldn’t check if it actually functions or not. So please let me know if it does work and I will update the wiki page.

Could someone (@rgallon @NanaiaPA) please try this version of the XSL and see if it works if you place it in the folder described on the support page (C:\Users\\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Bibliography\Style) https://1drv.ms/u/s!Aq5hTi4P2Wf5jf5SGu5WW…
-
For the moment, I suggest copying the formatted bibliography to https://anystyle.io and import from there.
-
The folder is still the same, but something seems to have changed in recent Word versions in the XSL format. The bibtex.xsl template is not being recognized as valid, and neither is Microsoft's documented example XSL file (https://docs.microsoft.com…

You can use an alternative file syncing solution (https://www.zotero.org/support/sync#alternative_syncing_solutions), but this will not work with the Zotero iOS app. Personally, I recommend you just let Zotero manage your files and consistently acc…

@emilianoeheyns What is the setting in BBT to add the citekey to the CSL data?
-
You can use colored tags for this. You can use https://rintze.zelle.me/ref-extractor/ with your document and click the Select Items in Zotero button to select all of the cited items and add the tag at once.
-
@adomasven The Connector would affect documents in OneDrive (not Google Drive), edited with either Word or Word Online?
-
Regarding third-party storage services, iOS does not have any capability of supporting arbitrary linking systems. So, the available options for storing attachments are Zotero Storage or a WebDAV service. It is possible to set up WebDAV with Google D…

You can feel free to write in German, but your English is also fine. I would suggest type Report for this. If that doesn’t seem to work, can you post an example of what you would want a citation to look like? What citation style are you using?
-
This isn’t currently possible. The available approach is to manually add the item to the bibliography using the Edit Bibliography button in the Zotero tab in Word. Personally, I would suggest writing your sentence so that the year can remain in pa…

@damnation Looking at an open access article or two, the journal style is very inconsistent. I suggest we just take APA, set initialize=“false”, and leave it at that. That will produce a format that is widely used in the journal. https://journals.…
-
@damnation you can just take apa.csl. I actually don’t think CSL can do what this journal is asking for, can it? It can either initialize all names or none of them, not initialize only non-first names. Is that right? @adamsmith If that’s the cas…

Did you change the style title and id after editing, install your new style in Jurism, and then select that in your document?
-
There will be performance and drag and drop issues with that many collections. Note that Zotero has a timeline feature built in https://www.zotero.org/support/timelines
-
Try to change to a different style and back. If still there, Can you upload your document somewhere and post a link here and I can take a look?
-
The most important thing would be to have DOIs for the items—if the DOI is different, the items won’t be treated as duplicates. The DOI Manager plugin can help with retrieving missing DOIs. In the Duplictates view, you can select and deselect item…

The style for that journal is already in the Zotero Style Repository https://www.zotero.org/styles/organization-studies

In the Zotero tab in Word, click the Document Preferences button and select Chicago style from the list. Note that current edition of the Chicago manual no longer uses “ibid” per se, but instead uses a shortened form of the citation (just the auth…

Zotero correctly handles subtitles in APA style. Mendeley does not. There are numerous other parts of APA style that Mendeley handles poorly. I strongly suggest switching to Zotero.
-
Also to be clear about APA’s actual rules on fonts, serifs are absolutely allowed. The most widely used font in APA style is Times New Roman. APA does not have a list of “allowed” fonts. Any font is fine so long as it is readable.

Click the Refresh button in the Zotero tab in Word. If the suffixes remain, then the likely issue is that one or more citations are disconnected from your Zotero library (eg, if you deleted items instead of merging) or you have cited the same item f…
