Change to a different style and back
-
@suyiliu As has been said many times above, this is something that WPS needs to implement. You need to raise issues with them. Posting about it here will not help—Zotero has done everything it can to make a WPS plugin possible.

In general, folks looking for support should just start new threads. It isn’t really a good use of time to try to search through the forum history looking for their issue.

You can use any cloud provider that has WebDAV support with Zotero sync. There is no official support for WebDAV in Google drive, but there are some third party tools for adding it. Can’t comment on their reliability or stability See also https://…

Supporting “contributor” roles like this is part of my planned updated for APA style for CSL 1.0.2
-
You can find the item by searching for “RZF6YBM3” in quick search

iOS doesn’t have a general file linking system, so any solution involving linked files would require specific code for each individual storage provider. That’s not likely to be supported
-
Yeah, I pop up a progress window. Any suggestions on troubleshooting this on my end?

Wrap the author and year parts of the citation layout in a group with delimiter=" "
-
There are also numeric APA styles available https://www.zotero.org/styles/apa-numeric-superscript
-
Sure we can help with that. Is this for a specific journal you’re submitting to? Can you provide the information requested here? https://github.com/citation-style-language/styles/blob/master/REQUESTING.md You can skip the two sample citations
-
This is controlled by the citation style. What style are you using? Most numeric styles (eg, Nature, Vancouver) do not sort alphabetically, but some do.
-
These sorts of legislative materials would be considered “hearing”. The recommended citation you quote doesn’t really look like APA format at all, so I would disregard that entirely.

Use the Instant Message or Email item type
-
CSL 1.1 will formally support this, but the necessary technical components are already in Zotero and its citation processor, so it could potentially happen before CSL 1.1 is finalized.

Yes, “PhD thesis” or “Doctoral dissertation” or “Masters thesis” etc is what you should enter in Type. That will appear if you create citations using a CSL style (like what Zotero’s Word plugin uses, or pandoc/RMarkdown). In CSL, all theses are the …

Two possibilities jump to mind: 1) you are syncing the local zotero with a different account than you logged into online. Check in Sync preferences 2) you have several very large PDFs, so that any one of them would take you over your quota. Are y…

Thus is expected. In BibTeX, the “type” of a thesis is implicitly indicated by the item type, either @phdthesis or @masterthesis
-
This might be possible with Jurism, but not sure.
-
You would use ‘choose’ to differentiate item types in the layout section, then have a ‘group’ in the non-legal condition, where you would put the prefix and suffix. Remove the affixes from the ‘layout’ node.

iCloud doesn’t support WebDAV so that’s not possible. There are numerous cloud services that do support WebDAV https://www.zotero.org/support/kb/webdav_services

If you’re not too comfortable with coding, the easiest way is with the CSL visual editor; https://editor.citationstyles.org/ The variable for call number is call-number. For library catalog is source. For ISBN is ISBN

I have severe protanopia and informed the major choices for the 9 colors a few years ago, with a goal of making pairs of colors maximally distinguishable, knowing that a full set of 9 colors wasn’t really going to be workable for me or others with s…

Live citations and bibliographies in Word require using the Zotero plugin in Word. It will not be possible to create the complex fields that Word requires by drag and drop, no.
-
If you want to continue with Zotero, install the Zutilo plugin. This adds a “Copy Zotero Select Link” to the right click menu for items and collections. You can paste this into Evernote so that you can click it and open Zotero to the item. To expo…

Okay, so if you don’t want to use Zotero, it’s doable to batch export the PDFs. A few questions more questions about exactly what you want— 1. Do you have everything in My Library, or also Group Libraries? 2. Do you have collections/folders whose s…

If you have a citation style that sorts alphabetically set as your default in the Export pane of Zotero preferences, when you drag and drop multiple items at once, they will be sorted alphabetically. If you drag and drop the items piecemeal, when …

With respect to support, I think you will find that the free support provided on these forums by the lead Zotero developers themselves and dedicated volunteers is much more responsive than any paid support provided by for-profit competitors
-
What exactly is your use case? What are you trying to do with the files in Evernote?

A “pin” button for quick search filter that applies across changing views would be super useful for me
