Footnote numbers are controlled by Word, not Zotero. So you can use circled numbers in note styles by adjusting the footnote styling in Word
-
Type shift+enter and you can put multiple identifiers in the field, each on its own line
-
What style and version of Zotero? This shouldn’t happen
-
This is automatically done by Zotero’s citation processor—Chinese, Japanese, and Korean characters are never written in italics
-
First one has the full bibliography reference in the first note, then short one thereafter. Second one always has the short (like standard APA in-text) citations and only has the full references in the bibliography
-
See https://Zotero.org/support/sync

Sorry, I meant the second line. Change class="note" to class="in-text"
-
At least being able to remove group libraries would be hugely helpful. When I am done teaching a course or doing a systematic review, I really don’t need those libraries in my local database, but removing them requires syncing down a fresh database …
-
to be specific, take Chicago (full note) and change it to an “intext” style in the first line of the style. Then, manually insert the first citation for an item into a footnote, rather than in text.

Zotero imports from Google Scholar using the BibTeX provided by that site. Note though that the data in Google scholar is very low quality and frequently contains many errors. The data provided by Web of Science is completely separate from Google Sc…

Note also that you can close PDF tabs with Ctrl/Cmd+W
-
If you make the colored tag an emoji, the emoji symbol will appear rather than a colored block
-
Yes just use 2 calls to the title variable with both form="short" and form="long" in the reference
-
That change would be great!

You should submit a translator for your website

I am guessing that this import translator hasn’t been updated for the new item types and fields in CSL 1.0.2

CSTR is not a valid CSL variable. For now, the appropriate way to cite CSTR in CSL styles is to enter the item’s URL as https://cstr.cn/. This is how, for example, ArXiV IDs are cited. CSL may get formal support for a wider range of ID variables in …

Please don’t post the same question in multiple threads https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/86614/how-can-i-archive-a-subset-of-my-zotero-database

You can selectively sync group libraries. My approach is to put items in a group library, then disable syncing for that library/remove it from the local copy. That way I have web access without adding to the size of the local database
-
You should not store the CSTR in the DOI field. That will cause all sorts of issues (and we do not accept hacks or workarounds in the CSL Styles repository).
-
CSTR is not currently a valid CSL variable, so variable="CSTR" will not work Can you provide a link to some documentation describing the CSTR standard or examples of its use in practice?
-
The APA rules are this: 1. 3+ authors reduced to “First et al.” 2. If authors of two different items have the same last name, add initials to both to disambiguate. 3. If the same author group has two items from the same year, add suffixes “a”, “b”,…

(@dstillman That is, the field should be the same as 'reportType')

This is the guidance given in the CSL Specification article A self-contained work made widely available but not published in a journal or other publication; Use for preprints, working papers, and similar works posted on a platform where some level…

Is this for a specific journal or publisher?

That Full Text item you are seeing isn’t a link, it’s the attached PDF file. Find Available PDFs finds and downloads the files
-
That is probably a page number. Open the Add/Edit Citation window, click on the blue bubble for the item, and delete the page number
