@mb22la Zotero’s APA style is extremely accurate and tested against the APA manual, so if you are seeing something you think isn’t correct, please report it. It very likely is a bug or misunderstanding. Especially things like italics should never …

1) You’re mistaken. The last digit of an ISBN is a check digit—it varies based on all of the digits that precede it and is used by computers to verify information was transmitted correctly. They are not usually the same for the 10 and 13 digit codes…

You should install the Better BibTeX plugin and set its Better BibTeX format as your default export format.

Take a look at citations for personal_communication in APA (I think I implemented that rule)

@dunning is working on a comprehensive update for Chicago 18th edition

Email support@zotero.org with details of your situation

Generally though, if the URL isn't something that would be cited, it's better to store these as Links attached to the item rather than in the URL field. The URL should be used for the canonical, citable URL for the item (@dunning FYI, though sound…

Edit the Chicago (note) CSL style and search for this line: Change it to: The line appears in two places. Change it in both. I’ve included all of the legal types—delete any you want to keep the URL for. Then change the style title and id at …

There are hundreds of differences between APA 6 and 7. The Zotero APA style is very well tested and accurately follows the APA manual. Retrieval dates are only shown for websites that update frequently, which is implemented in the Zotero style as on…

How exactly are you adding the items to Zotero? If you add them using the Zotero Connector in your browser, title casing will be automatically cleaned up. If you are downloading a RIS file or similar from Web of Science and importing that, casing …

This is not currently possible. I recommend manually copying and pasting the citation text under the figure, then clicking Add/Edit Bibliography and adding the item to the bibliography list from the Edit Bibliography window.

For the first, use this version of APA https://www.zotero.org/styles/apa-no-ampersand For the second, use https://www.zotero.org/styles/apa-numeric-superscript-brackets

There is no difference in functionality other than unlimited storage associated with each account that is connected to the lab/institution. Institution subscriptions are based on email domain. They are priced with the expectation that only a minori…

PowerPoint does not have the integration tools that Word does to create automatically-updating citations and bibliographies the way Word does, so this isn’t currently possible

I would recommend replacing the ResearchGate URL with a more permanent link to the journal website or a DOI if applicable
-
You can change the name field to single-field mode to enter institutional names if applicable

From the group library page in the Web library on Zotero.org, click the three dots icon at the top of the library item list and choose Subscribe to Feed. This will create an RSS feed you can subscribe to for item changes.

@Pachaontas if link persistence is the concern, I would recommend archiving the page to a web archive like archive.org or perma.cc and citing the archival URL instead of the less permanent one. APA style allows for citation of archival URLs in cases…

@adamsmith Do you think that Newspaper edition should be mapped to CSL genre or medium instead of edition? Newspaper edition seems more similar to a format variable than to book edition

@DGraham15118 could you also post a screenshot for the guidelines on formatting of volume titles for multivolume works?

Reset your Normal style to default—it is very likely the case that it is modified to be bold for this paragraph.

I personally recommend entering the author as DIN and putting the full institution name as the Publisher. While not strictly following APA, this format is used commonly, even in APA-published journals. I have published many papers in APA journals us…

Can you say what specifically is wrong? If you mean the citation is in bold text, check the Word formatting style (Body, Heading 1, etc.) that is applied to the paragraph. Zotero applies the same style to the citation as is used by the paragraph.

No, the buttons in the Word ribbon toolbar aren’t localizable currently, but they will be in a future version of Zotero
