For tags, you can use Excel (or whatever program you are using for analysis) filter feature for rows that “contain” a tag. You can similarly use pivot tables or a similar feature to compute counts.

Firat, there is already a CSL variable for directeur de la publication: editorial-director. Use that instead of hacking collection-editor. They best way to accomplish what you are doing is to give the authors and editorial-director in separate name…

I'm not sure what exactly you mean. You can of course edit any item's data in your library: https://www.zotero.org/support/adding_items_to_zotero#editing_items Feel free to respond in French.

Yes, there are multiple types of specific roles, such as director, illustrator, producer, etc. Note that director and illustrator already exist in CSL. These can be specified in Extra like this: Director: Last || First Producer and executive produc…

@tnandek A related improvement on the item list would be to make the Select button separately visible from the dots menu. It took me about 5-6 minutes of searching to find the Select option and I was close to thinking there was a display bug that it…

It’s rather unusual to indicate such roles in the citations, rather than as part of an author contributions statement in the cited work. Until such designations are more widely adopted in citation style guides, I don’t see these being added to Zot…

What is researcher vs author?

And speaker here is the person providing the linguistic data? What is researcher?

Could you give an example of what such a citation would look like?
-
Use “Presentation” for all of those types of lectures/posters/seminars.

In the item list view, click the three dots button in the upper right of the item list and choose Select Items. Select the items you want. Then tab the icon that looks like a stack of books in the toolbar at the bottom of the page view. @tnajdek C…

To show code, wrap it in tags. What you are saying is not currently possible with CSL but may be in a future version. Could you explain what the use case is here with author/collection-editor? What’s an example real citation for this? I’ve onl…

That box appears for styles that use journal abbreviations, but not for styles that don’t.

@PSTennant I talked with the developer of the citation processor. It doesn't currently pick up annote-short. Instead, I suggest using `title-short` or `citation-label` for subsequent uses.

No, in APA 6th edition, in this case, the reference list includes six authors, then the ellipsis, then the last author (see example 2 in the manual). Note that APA 7 increases the limit from 7 authors to 21.

The translator could be customized to only export certain fields. What do you want to have included?

Zotero definitely works with Word 2016. Start here for troubleshooting steps https://www.zotero.org/support/word_processor_plugin_troubleshooting#zotero_toolbar_doesn_t_appear

I would inquire with your library to add Zotero to the standard installation. Many university libraries officially recommend Zotero.

Enter Meriam-Webster as the Author (in single-field mode, click the bar to the right of the author name to switch from last-first mode). Enter “Ubiquity” as the title. Title for a Dictionary Entry, like for a book chapter, is the title of the entr…

Zotero never drops initials if they are present. It’s likely that the item missing an initial is referring to (1) another item in your Zotero library or (2) is disconnected from your library (e.g., if you deleted the item from your library). Try t…

You need to change the item type to Dictionary Entry after import. The website doesn’t have very high quality metadata for Zotero to import, so you will need to do some cleanup after import.

Yes, adamsmith is correct. The screenshot should be updated in Google Docs Zotero wiki page.
-
Can you give an example URL? And what exactly are you seeing when Zotero generates an APA-style reference?
-
For academic writing, that really is the fundamental distinction—is it retrievable? If no, then it’s a personal communication that can’t be verified. If yes, then cite it with its archival information.
-
What style are you using?
-
When you have cited an item that isn't connected to your Zotero library (e.g., if you deleted the item from your library), it shows up in the Quick Citation window without an author. Is that potentially happening here?

Good luck!

I recommend you follow the style of the journal you are submitting to. If Zotero has a style for that journal and includes a DOI, it’s problem at that request of the journal. As suggested above, the DOI is probably the single most important piece of…

I’d recommend leaving it. Journals will likely start to switch to APA 7 soon.
