Open Office 3.2 (linux) plug-in, focus issue

This is just a suggestion or a bug, but when inserting a citation into a document the focus stays on the document and does not go to the citation selector. This might sound like a small thing but I'm writing a thesis in Biochemistry, so almost every sentence in the introduction gets a citation. If the focus was in the search bar when I click cite it would save me about 30min a day.
  • a new plugin is in the works that will work much more smoothly, including, hopefully, taking care of focus issues - though linux windows management is always a bit of a problem. I believe if you google some you can find some immediate solution for this issue, at least for Ubuntu, but I can't guarantee that they still work.
  • Thank you for the response, hopefully the new one will also support offline citation. I don't always have Internet access
  • you don't need internet access to cite, that's a misunderstanding (in fact, I often turn internet off when I write, so I know this for a fact).
  • That's weird, cause even if I change firefox to online mode zotero still does not want to let me cite. It keeps telling me it needs to be in online mode.
  • which Zotero and plugin version are you using? Which Linux specifically? Which FF?
  • Firefox 3.6.18 on Ubuntu 64bit 10.10 running Zotero 2.1.8 with OOo plugin 3.5a2

    wow, so many numbers... hehe
  • It's possible that Firefox is automatically entering offline mode because it detects you don't have an internet connection. You can disable this by following these instructions.
  • Thanx Simon, I'll try that
