Zotero Everywhere and standalone - what happens?

Is there any information available what happens whit the standalone and the everywhere project? Standalone alpha is from february, the announcement of everxwhere from september. This is not critique but a question.
  • A huge amount has changed, and the next release of Zotero and likely of standalone is apparently coming in the next week or two (unofficial estimate, from comments on the forum).

It'd be great if stuff like this was on the blog, but it isn't. The only reliable news source is the raw commit logs: https://www.zotero.org/trac/timeline
But they're hard to follow, and many of the key changes were made several months ago.

I don't know when the website portion will be going live, but the commit logs seem to indicate that it's making progress quite steadily.
  • Both have made major progress - I would expect a new standalone release - likely even a beta soon - I would be very surprised if it doesn't happen within the next two months (but remember, I'm just a well informed outsider, I don't actually have any information beyond what's happening on Zotero dev and trac). A lot of the known limitation, especially with the connectors, but also more generally with the interface (non-working links etc.) have been ironed out.

What exactly the changes to the online presence of Zotero through everywhere entail is a little harder to tell, but we've seen a lot of activity there, too, throughout the last 4 or 5 months, so that part is definitely alive, too, though I can't tell you anything about a timeline.
