Import Database after Win7 Installation
Hi Guys,
my company notebook had to be updated to Windows 7 urgently due to a virus detection on the system. Therefore I just had the chance to export my Zotero database as a rdf-File (I wasn`t aware of copying the folders is the recommended way :-().
I was running Zotero 2.1 on Firefox 3.6 with Win XP Professional. I`m trying now to import the rdf-File under Win7 with Firefox 4.0.
The import starts right away, I can also see my defined tags already, but the Zotero and/or Firefox seems to crash then (no more progress on the progress bar; no chance to stop Zotero). And even after waiting more than 15 min: no progress recognizable.
Has anybody a clue how to fix the problem?! Thanxx in advance, as I urgently has to finish my master thesis this month.
Cheers,
Sikos

Thanks for the quick response.
Yes, I did.
I`ve just figuered out, that with reestablishing the sync connection under preferences, it`s syncing back in my new library. But somehow all my notes I`ve made are now messed up?! I guess it`s a kind of programming langue (XML or so), that usually takes care for the formatting of the notes.
Best regards,
Siko
thanx for your response and sorry for replying so late (I`ve been on a business trip).
In the meanwhile, i figured out, that I have duplicate entries in my database: Some old ones, which are still correct, and some new ones. Those are showing up with the described wired format.
I`m gonna just delete the obsolete entries.
But just to let you know and give you guys a chance to improve the great tool:
Here is the link to my screen shot:

The notes are showing up somehow wired.
(Pls note, the notes are in german).
Cheers anyway,
Sikos
