Changing Zotero Logins

SO I worked on one Zotero account for a professor and as of right now my zotero plug in onto mozilla only syncs with her account. I am now working on my own stuff in zotero but I cannot manage to change accounts on the plug in without fearing that all my data will be erased from the professors library. I have deleted mozilla and re-installed the plug in, however, zotero always manages o automatically sync with the first professors zotero. I went into preferences and changed the login information to my own and proceeded to press sync but the first professors library does not go away. Is there a safe way to change libraries? I do not want to lose any information.

    I'd recommend you use separate Firefox profiles:
    http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Managing%20profiles
    There are other ways, but this is the only one I can think of that has pretty much zero chance of a mix-up with ensuing data loss or data confusion.

    Thank you. I did these steps but then after re-installing the zoero plug in once more, there was no content. So i went into preferences and put in my proper login information clicked sync and then the first professor's information and documents once again reloaded onto zotero and I am stuck with the same problem. There has to be a way to clear this information so I can work with another zotero library. help!?

    If you're entering your own login information, it's your library. You presumably synced your professor's data to your own account. Unless your professor is using the same login information, you can't affect her account.
