Zotero icon disappeared

Hi: I just shifted to the new Firefox 4 version--and my Zotero icon...go to place is totally missing. Other things were brought along, but not zotero. Is there someplace I should look for it that I might have missed in the new format? Do I need to add something else? Thanks. Judy
  • it's on the "app tab" as I understand - also you can always use ctrl(opt) + alt + z to open zotero.
  • Unless you've chosen to hide the Zotero icon in the General pane of the Zotero prefs, you should still see the Zotero icon in the new Firefox add-on bar (which replaced the old status bar). Zotero makes it visible automatically, but you can check View->Toolbars->Add-on Bar to make sure it's showing.

The shortcut key should always work as well, though.
  • I have the same post FF4.0 upgrade problem; checked the Preferences/General and it is set to show 'zotero' as 'status bar icon' but it still does not appear, although 2 other FF add-ons do
  • I also had the same problem, checked preferences as misterslang did. In the end I just reinstalled the previous version of Zotero and it was fine. Anyone have any ideas how to fix this? Thanks.
  • ...I meant previous version of Firefox (3.6.17) of course.
  • I am able to click on though and zotero still appears - has anyone else had this problem, and know to make it reappear?
  • I mean I just click on the corner where the icon would be.
  • Disable your other Firefox extensions and any non-default theme or Persona you're using.
  • Thanks. Unfortunately I don't have any other extension, and I have the default theme.
  • Can you take a screenshot, post it to a free file-sharing site, and provide a link here?
