Error ID 535907957 - DAV:href '/zotero' does not begin with path '/zotero/'

Hej,

In the last week the following error is appearing in my Zotero from time to time:

DAV:href '/zotero' does not begin with path '/zotero/' in Zotero.Sync.Storage.purgeOrphanedStorageFiles()

If I sync manually afterwords, Firefox freezes for 5 seconds, then the sync is done and the error disappears.

Any ideas what this error can be?

Thank you in advance.

Andy
  • Are you using WebDAV for file syncing?

Does Verify Server still work in the Sync pane of the Zotero preferences?

Can you provide a Debug ID for this error? Opening and closing the Zotero pane repeatedly would probably reproduce it.
  • Yes, I am using WebDAV with GMX (a german mail and webspace provider). When I click "verify server" I get the message "File sync is successfully set up".

And as I said, after a manual sync with the Zotero server (clicking the round arrow in the upper right corner) the error message disappears. But you are right, the error just appears again when I close and open the zotero pane again.

    The Debug ID is D2119524662.

    Thank you.

I am getting the same error, except that it persists (I get it every time I try to sync, on one of my computers only). Report ID 721081060. If I need to start a new thread for this, I will.

Edit: It would probably be important to mention that I use WebDAV syncing with box.net.
  • I think something has changed on the Zotero servers? I do not get the error any longer when opening the Zotero pane. It is working fine for me since some days.
  • This should now be fixed in the latest 2.1 Branch dev XPI. If you're still getting this, grab that XPI and see if it fixes the problem. You can then revert to 2.1.6 afterward.

Note that this error would only occur approximately once every 10 times you open the Zotero pane.
