Search stops

I apologize if someone else already posted a similar incident but I couldn't find another threat to post this:

Since I updated to 2.1.x, the search functionality works differently. When I type a search term, sometimes zotero stops for a couple seconds before I can type the whole search term. In the old version (2.0) this happened also but it "buffered" the remaining letters that I already typed. So there was a "hick up" but zotero completed the search string. Now in 2.1 there is a hick up but zotero forgets what I typed after the hick up happened.

Did anyone experience this? Is this a known issue?
