  • I'm sure adamsmith will get this into the repository. But you don't need to open a new thread for something like this-- you can just add it to the existing thread.
  • OK, I was just following the instructions here, http://www.zotero.org/support/dev/citation_styles/sharing_styles#using_gistgithubcom which says "Create a new thread for your style in the Citation Styles category of the Zotero forum." I'm really impressed with how responsive this forum is.
    Take care,
    Mark
  • In this case, I suppose that's being overridden by the other guideline of sticking to a single thread for closely related or identical issues. But no worries. I'll try to make the wording there on the style submission page more clear-- and the only reason for the posting guidelines is to make the forum a more useful resource for people searching in the future, so it's no great loss if we make a few extra threads in the process.
  • I'm actually all in favor of a new thread - it makes it easier for people to find the relevant discussion. Alternatively you could have changed the title of the old thread - it doesn't really matter I think.

Anyway, thanks for contributing - your style is in the 1.0 repository on github - I won't put it up on Zotero, which currently marks all 1.0 styles as invalid and will be phased out anyway.
  • I defer to adamsmith. Thanks for contributing, and I'll try to keep my nose out of this in the future. :)
  • Is there a link to the github directory anywhere on zotero.org? It would have been nice to find when I was scouring the internet yesterday for a similar style.
  • currently the repository isn't very user friendly, so it's not linked to prominently (only from various csl-creation pages, like here:
    http://www.zotero.org/support/dev/citation_styles/style_editing_step-by-step#different_csl_versions )
It will eventually move to a better designed repository on citationstyles.org
The two repositories are mostly identical, only that the 1.0 one contains some updates to styles only viable in csl 1.0.
  • Hi,

I just tried to use the style file but it does not work properly with Mendeley and ms word 2007:
The bibliography is formatted properly but the in text citation fails:
The et al. is correctly formatted but not the author name, the tag is not correctly intepreted. An example is displayed below:
    (<span style="font-variant:small-caps;">Adhikari</span> et al. 2004)

Any ideas on the source of this problem?

    Thank you for your help!
  • the style is fine and it works in Zotero - this is a Mendeley problem, contact them.
  • I suspect that also but some other styles I obtained from zotero works fine in Mendeley.
  • small caps aren't that common, so this might not have come up before. It really is a Mendeley issue. Ask their support.
