Deletion of "edited" part of citations after upgrade.
I tried to do due diligence but I haven't found this problem addressed or a solution of my own so here goes:
I recently stepped up my Mozilla (3.6.16), and hence I was recommended to do likewise with my Zotero. The longish paper I've been writing was open but when prompted I closed it. After install, all looked fine. Invariably, the next move I make in the document deletes any edited portion of my citations and strips all the others in the doc to their essentials as well. All the citations are still in place but the added text (which is significant in places) is swiped. This occurs even with older papers after they are "upgraded" and then any attempt is made to edit them.
I have a back up of the paper that is not upgraded but I can't touch it with the new Zotero. I think something's up. I tried re-installing the WinWord add-in.
advice? i love the product otherwise.

2. How exactly did you edit those citations?
@ adamsmith, I am using 2.1.1 and I can't recall the last upgrade but I am pretty diligent when I get any notification, so, the normal progression (?). Also, as I create a citation I typically click the "Show Editor" button and add my comments. I am also diligent about going back there in order to change any spelling errors or what not, because IF I do not use the zotero add-in to change the footnotes with the "Editor"(versus randomly clicking inside footnotes and altering stuff), then when I refresh or change bib data on something I've used... then it deletes my comments and reverts back to the bare bones citation. That diligence was taught through many trial-and-error losses. I've grown to live with that part, and we have got along until now.
thankyou even more.
