2.1.1 Date field not properly inserting in OpenOffice Writer

When I add a new "web page" document to my database, manually typing in the date (including month, day and year), only the year gets inserted in a footnote in my OpenOffice Writer document.

I have tried, for example: "January 13, 2011" and "2011-01-13", and in both cases, Zotero no longer inserts the full date into the footnote, only the year.

Until upgrading to 2.1.1, I have typed in dates manually when necessary, and it has always included the full date in the footnote.

Is this a bug?


(Pro-tip: If you're writing a dissertation, and everything is working for you, DO NOT accept any upgrades of any kind until AFTER you file! :)

    probably style dependent - try switching styles to test - if you get this right in a different style, let us know for which one(s) it doesn't work.

    I tried different styles, and that makes no difference.

    I tried deleting the entry and re-entering it, and that makes no difference.

    I tried entering the entry as a different type of document, and that makes no difference.

    Other entries still work as before. I can also enter other documents (I tried both a newspaper article and a different web page), and they work well as before too.

    My conclusion is that it has something to do with this particular web page:
    http://www.chinacartimes.com/2011/01/13/2010-green-car-round-sales-round-up/

    I'll just manually edit the entry in the document and hope it doesn't happen again.

    Looks like it was just my (un)lucky day. :)

    Visiting the linked page with Zotero 2.1.1 and fetching the metadata with the "Create Zotero item from this page", and then manually adding an arbitrary full date to date field of "2011-03-27", I get the full date in a citation rendered with Chicago Fullnote With Bibliography (this under Open Office, but that shouldn't make any difference in this case).

    This is a bug with the display of January dates. It will be fixed in 2.1.2, which should be out very soon.
