Upgrading (finally) from Zotero 1.0 to 2.0 - 138156475

I've tried upgrading to 2.0 before, but from reading the other posts, I guess I never waited long enough (sometimes over 1 or 2 hours) for Zotero to upgrade. I've reverted back to Firefox 3.5 and Zotero 1.0 a few times. Yesterday, I let the upgrade run its full course and got the following error message a couple of hours later:

[Exception... "Component returned failure code: 0x80004005 (NS_ERROR_FAILURE) [mozIStorageConnection.createStatement]" nsresult: "0x80004005 (NS_ERROR_FAILURE)" location: "JS frame :: chrome://zotero/content/xpcom/db.js :: anonymous :: line 292" data: no] [QUERY: SELECT leafName, translatorJSON, code, lastModifiedTime FROM translatorCache] [ERROR: no such table: translatorCache] [QUERY: SELECT leafName, translatorJSON, code, lastModifiedTime FROM translatorCache] [ERROR: no such table: translatorCache]

I have no idea what the problem is. I've got an oldish computer running Mac OS 10.4. Maybe I messed up something in the past when I force quit Firefox while it was trying to upgrade? Any help would be appreciated.
  • Never mind - I upgraded to Zotero 2.0 (instead of 2.1) and that worked. It took about 2.5 hours.
  • The devs are currently exploring whether there are 1.0.x --> 2.1 problems-- but you should and could now upgrade to 2.1, which is safe and stable for everyday use.
