New style- Journal of Health Economics

Hi,

I created a style for the Journal of Health Economics. I don't have SVN access (yet; I applied), so I posted the .csl file and a patch file (for the latest SVN revision) here:

https://gist.github.com/870218

Please let me know if I can help post it, or if there are improvements for the file.
  • thanks I'll get to posting this asap -
after a quick glance almost everything looks great - only it doesn't have a <link field to itself, which is required for the repository - would be great if you could add that.
  • I was following the directions on http://www.zotero.org/support/dev/csl_syntax_summary#info

I'm not sure what you mean. You want a second line pointing to the ?

    I updated the code @ https://gist.github.com/870218

I also have cloned the style respository, with my changes, here:
    https://bitbucket.org/keithk/zotero-csl-styles/
(let me know if this isn't allowed)
  • I think I figured it out. The two links in the previous post have been updated.
  • yep, that's exactly what I meant, thanks.
  • great.

I just caught a mistake.. The ";" and "," were mixed up on the in-text citation.

    Here's the new file:
    https://bitbucket.org/keithk/zotero-csl-styles/src/tip/journal-of-health-economics.csl

    Here's the diff:
    https://bitbucket.org/keithk/zotero-csl-styles/changeset/fca935ade836
  • for what it's worth, I don't need the diffs - the newest version of the style file is enough.
And I've added the <link> field to the csl documentation
  • I don't have SVN access (yet; I applied)
Sorry, glitch on our end. If you submit that form again we'll create an account for you.
  • Great. https://bitbucket.org/keithk/zotero-csl-styles/src/tip/journal-of-health-economics.csl will always have the latest copy. Click on "raw" for the .csl file.

    Did you catch that
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
was missing from the first line? I just added it back in. Sorry about that. I thought it was ready to roll when I posted the file last night.
  • "submit that form again"

    Form submitted.
  • OK. I pushed the style to the repository:
    https://www.zotero.org/trac/changeset/8618

Please contact me if you find something that needs changed.
  • that style is 0.81 so that doesn't apply here
  • I don't understand. I built this following the instructions... http://www.zotero.org/support/dev/creating_citation_styles
...which instruct me to use CSL 0.81

What are you suggesting? That I create a style for something in BETA? Zotero 2.1 -- still in BETA -- uses csl 1.0. I'm not a hard-core zotero developer. Maybe I'll upgrade the styles when 2.1 comes out...
  • kkranker: Not addressed to you. Don't worry about it.

What I'm suggesting is (aside from the nudge to zotero) is that, at least when 2.1 is released real soon, it would be easier for you to fork the github repository, add your style to that, and issue a pull request, than creating a separate repository on bitbucket.
  • Thanks, everyone for the introduction to posting new files on zotero.org. I'm still learning a lot about how this works. Please forgive the novice questions.

I created a second style today. I'm still not sure if I'm done posting or not. Please see my questions here: http://forums.zotero.org/discussion/16868/new-style-health-services-research/
