can't rename pdf

Hi,
I can capture a pdf of a journal article but I can't rename it to make it accessible by its title. I'm sure it's possible, how do I do it? I can't automatically capture it as no zotero icon comes u in the page address box. thanks in advance!

    Hi Caroline,

    first of all you have to make sure the pdf is not opened when trying to rename it.
    afterwards you may try the zotero meta data retrieval function (right click on the pdf in the zotero window) which will automatically create the respective article item. otherwise you will have to create an article item first, enter the author title etc manually and then attach the pdf to this article item. when finished this you may rename your pdf by right clicking on it and choosing "rename by current meta data"
