Standalone and Firefox

I have dowloaded the alpha standalone version. The first time i have used it, in connection with libreoffice, it has worked fine. I have been able to insert citations smoothly. Now, after closing and restarting both Zotero and libreoffice, it does not work anymore. It says: "Firefox could not load the component required to communicate with your word processor. Please ensure that the appropriate Firefox extension is installed and try again". I assumed that the standalone version did not require Firefox, and in fact the first time it did not.
Does anyone have an idea of why this is happening?
  • The "Firefox" is just due to an error message that hasn't been updated - standalone does indeed not require FF. So the problem here is the link to the word processor -
follow the steps appropriate to your OS and word processor here:
    http://www.zotero.org/support/word_processor_plugin_troubleshooting
  • Thanks for your suggestions. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the extension in LibreOffice, but the problem is still there. In the word processor plugin troubleshooting page does not appear to be any reference to standalone.
I cannot see anything that can solve my problem.
  • The same steps that apply to Firefox also apply in standalone. If you provide a report ID, we can probably narrow down possible causes, but there is a very high chance this will be fixed in the next standalone alpha, since we're changing the way OpenOffice.org integration works.
