I installed winword plugins 3.0a3 but the previous version 1.0b3 is not replaced

At my home PC (word 2003 on Windows vista):
I upgraded to Zotero 2.
I installed winword plugins 3.0a3
But the previous version 1.0b3 is not replaced from the word.

I did the same in the office (on windows XP and windows 2003) and it worked automatically, the 1.0b3 is replaced by 3.0a3 after the installation.

Why I cannot have the same at my home PC?
If I have to manually deinstall the previous plugins, how to do that? I cannot find the install/deinstall word plugin.

    I also am having this same problem on my Word 2007 on Windows vista. I upgraded to Zotero 2.1b7 and tried to install the Word for Windows plug-in 3.0b1 from zotero.org. I continued to get the error message in Word that "Zotero 2.1b7 requires Zotero WinWord Integration 3.1a0 or later. Please download the latest version of Zotero WinWord Integration from zotero.org." I followed the instructions to "reinstall Word components" and continued to get the error message.

    I then tried to follow the directions for manually deinstalling the previous plugin and then manually installing the new 3.0b1
    (followed the directions found here: http://www.zotero.org/support/windows_word_plugin_%0Bmanual_installation_instructions), but am still getting the same error message. As the earlier posting says, the new 3.0b1 plug-in does not seem to replace the previous version in my Word Startup folder even after manually deleting the old version and then copying the new version into the Startup folder.

    Any advice?

    Zotero 2.1 requires WinWord Integration 3.1b1. You can download this from the 2.1 beta page.
