empty library after sync

i've been working on the same set of records from two laptops and keep losing my work! currently, i have an empty library on one laptop (not sure how this happened). i keep trying to reset my computer's library from the server (which _does_ have files in it when i check the "my library" view). the machine tells me to restart firefox and when it restarts it asks me whether i want to sync from the server and i do but the library on my computer remains empty after i'm told that the sync is complete (and the arrow stops spinning and everything! argh. thanks.

    oops. i'm an idiot. i've just figure out how to navigate my zotero window--i had somehow ended up in some empty folder and each time i opened zotero i was still in said empty folder so it looked like i had an empty library. sorry--newbie!
