Drag & drop question
Hello!
This may seem like a silly question, but if you're in the remote/web access version of your account can you still drag and drop things from your library into particular collections? I don't use the remote access all that often, but I will be needing to demonstrate how to add to your library, create collections, etc. on a computer that isn't mine. For practice I tried dragging and dropping an item from my library into one of my collections, and it didn't work? Was I doing something wrong, or is that a feature not available remotely? If it is something not available remotely, is there some sort of work-around for instructional purposes? Thanks! -- Maureen

To the online version of your library at zotero.org? No, that's not possible - you currently can't do anything except look at citations there.
What you'd want to show is syncing to a new machine - then, of course, you can drag&drop items all you want.
If that doesn't answer your question you'll need to describe what you're doing exactly.
Yes, I was referring to the online version of my library. What I am trying to do is demonstrate adding items to Zotero and creating collections to students in a computer classroom. None of the computers in that room have Zotero downloaded to them.
I suppose I can see about getting permission to download Zotero to the instructor machine. Would I need another account for that? I apologize if I seem ignorant, but I haven't had to do much with the online version for a while. Again, thanks!--Maureen
P.S.Ajlyon, thanks for the heads-up about Zotero Everywhere.
