3.3 compatibility in open source suites

Now that OpenOffice.org and LibreOffice are both at 3.3, when will zotero update to be compatible with them? I know that there is a work around that is supposed to work, but I'm really not willing to risk my research on a kluge. And in any case, if the work around does work fine, why hasn't it been folded into the stable zotero plug-in yet? It's been around for a while.

The 3.3's have been on the way for a long time. This sort of thing makes zotero look bad.
  • I take issue with the hostility of this post, but will note that the solution is not really a "kluge": the only difference is what paths you tell the extension to work with when useing LO. And I think the default paths work with OO.o-3.3 (which has been out for a mere 15 days).
  • The default paths should also work in LibreOffice. You just need to click "Detect Paths" in the preferences if you are upgrading from OOo so that Zotero knows to look in the LibreOffice directory and not the OOo directory.
  • Simon, will selecting "Detect OpenOffice paths" also work for upgrading to OO.o 3.3 or just for upgrading to LO?
  • for Ooo it shouldn't even be necessary, but will work.
