Style Error:[Proceedings of the Royal Society B]
The Proceedings of the Royal Society B has recently changed its reference style (http://rspb.royalsocietypublishing.org/site/misc/preparing-article.xhtml#question10) and the Zotero ref style is not anymore adequate.
I have tried to change the style downloaded in my pc but without success.
Could someone change the style in the official repository?
Many thanks
Ale

Post here in either case.
the vancouver style is different from the style requested by proceeding of the royal society B.
For exemple : this is what the vancouver style looks like
1. Angilletta MJ, Sears MW. The metabolic cost of reproduction in an oviparous lizard. Funct. Ecol. 2000 Feb;14(1):39-45.
but we need
1 Angilletta, M. J. & Sears, M. W. 2000 The metabolic cost of reproduction in an oviparous lizard. Funct. Ecol. 14, 39-45. (doi:101546579)
the instructions are on this web page http://rspb.royalsocietypublishing.org/site/misc/preparing-article.xhtml
the order must be:
* Author surnames with initials (up to 10 before et al is used)
* Year of publication
* Title of paper (roman) or book (italic)
* Journal name (italic), using standard abbreviation
* Volume number (bold)
* First and last page numbers
* DOI
Note that for a book, the edition the chapter(s) and its/their page range(s), the editor(s), the place of publication (if it is not obvious) and the name of the publisher should be given.
Do you have enough information to update the style ?
thank you
First in the main text:
The articles must be referred with number in [] and not (). For example we need: [3,6]
In the reference list :
The citations are listed in the order of appearance with a number (as in the Vancouver style) but there is no dot after the number (contrary to the vancouver style).
We dot not need to have an extra line after each reference.
For articles:
Concerning the authors:
There is a comma after the name and after the initials of the first name. There is a dot after each initial.
At the end of the enumeration there is a “&”
If there are 10 authors or more, there is only the first author followed by et al.
The order must be: authors year Title. Abbreviated journal volume number, first page-last page. (doi number)
For example:
1 Name, F., Name, F. M. & Name, F. 2010 title of the article J. Biol. 3, 10-15. (doi number)
Moreover, for books:
The order is: author / year / title / edition / place of publication / publisher.
The book title must be in italic followed by a comma and the edition (edn).
For example
Falconer, D. S. 1981 Introduction to quantitative genetics, 2nd edn. London: Longman.
For book chapter:
The title of the chapter is not in italic. The title of the book is in italic preceded by “In” (and not In: ) and followed by the editors names in parenthesis preceded by “ed.” or “eds” (no dot when more than one editor).
After there are the first page and last page preceded by pp. (and not p.)
For example
Falkenmark, M. 1993 Landscape as life support provider: water-related limitations. In Population-the complex reality (ed. F. Graham-Smith), pp. 103-116. London: The Royal Society.
For example if three editors: (eds W. G. Runciman, J. Maynard Smith & R. I. M. Dunbar)
you should have all the information for articles and books. I have not found examples of how to cite website.
Thanks
/Tom
I manage to update the style and install it for me.
I have modified the style vancouver with brackets and changed the title and the id.
However it is not in the zotero style repository. To upload it for everyone it seems I need a svn account. I just created one...
I'll keep you informed.
I created an account but don't know what I should do next.
Thank you for your help
If you want to do it yourself, you need to get an SVN client such as Tortoise SVN, check out the style repository from Zotero svn and then add the style - once you have that set up it's not very hard to do, if you're interested I can provide more instructions. In that case, I'll need to know which OS you're using.
thanks
I've added the Creative Commons License as well as the contributors to the Vancouver-brackets styles and adjusted id, title and link to replace the old style.
Thanks for contributing!
There was an error when the publication date was not known
The new code is uploaded here :

can someone update the style in the zotero repository ?
thank you
The new code, that does validate, is uploaded here:

Thank you to update it in the style repository.
https://github.com/citation-style-language/styles
edition is now abbreviated with edn (and not ed)
I posted the code here:

Also, I noticed that the royal society publishes 2 other journals with the same specifications for the bibliography as this journal (proceedings B).
These journals are: Philosophical transactions of the royal society B and Biology letters.
Is it possible to duplicate this style for these journals? or to name this style "royal society publishing"?
thanks
could you (again!) update the styles I corrected a minor mistake on the non-dropping particles, the code is here:
