Problem with author field on Windows 7 64bit version

I have a major problem and plus hassle that I when I use zotero on my laptop having a Windows 7 (64bit) the author field does not show up and there is no way of amending or adding one.

I don't have a problem with the pc at work which is still working on Windows XP.

I have tried upgrading, removing everything and reinstalling zotero and I did search in the forums and unfortunately could not find anything.

    This sounds like an issue with Personas-- try disabling them from the Firefox Add-Ins menu. If that doesn't do it, try disabling other Firefox extensions.

    I had already tried that, I have most of my extensions disabled except for Java, Microsoft .net and adobe and some of the plug ins that don't seem critical. It still is not functioning.

    I was thinking that maybe I should uninstall firefox and reinstall it although I am not sure what would happen to the embedded data in my doc.
