no sync

Hello, I have followed the instructions for syncing problems, waited more than 5 hours and no sync. Restarted multiple times, waited again overnight and no sync. Restarted, waited for 6 hours - no sync. It's time for an expert to check my account, please.

  • I'm having the same issue. I just made a new group and I want to start adding to the library, but and it has yet to successfully synch. I let it go for ~18 hours. Do I show an active sync?

  • I've been able to sync from my laptop and my home PC, but not at all -- in more than a week -- from my PC at my office. It's rather a problem since, well, I work here... it's also created complications because in trying to compensate, I accidentally created quite a few duplicates in my library.

    In any case, a) is it possible that I'd be completely unable to sync from a computer but not get an error message, and b) is anyone else so thoroughly unable to sync? I've tried every single day for the last several days, leaving it on for 5-10 hours in a row.
  • marionsd: You have a large queued sync from a number of hours ago. You aren't alone. Wait until after this weekend, when, as I've said in many threads already, we're moving to a completely new server architecture. We're sorry you're having trouble, but there's really nothing else we can tell you.

    It's entirely possible that there's another issue at your office that's preventing syncs from going through—if you leave them running, they should absolutely finish eventually, and a work network could potentially block a large sync download—but it's impossible to debug sync problems right now, so you'll have to wait.
  • I have only 4 library items but have 2 groups - private groups among 2 colleagues. can't see either of them through the sync. can see in firefox browser window.

  • Are you syncing with the same account you're posting from? Because you have no active sync with that, so restart Firefox completely if that's the case. (If you're on Windows it may be helpful to restart your computer.)

    i should be. enetered my UN ans PWD in prefs (8+ times to be sure). rebooting...

  • hooray! literally, after 3 days of no syncing I thought I'd have to find another application. Nope! I'm all synced and happy to have found Zotero. Thanks for your help.
