Component loading error with Zotero 2.1b4 for Mac

Today I installed Zotero 2.1b4 on my Mac Powerbook running OS X.5.8. After I installed and restarted, I received the message “The Zotero MacWord Integration installation succeeded, but a necessary component does not appear to be loaded properly.” The message included an offer to restart Firefox (version 3.6.13) and try to fix the problem, but that did not work. I then followed the procedures on the troubleshooting page to insure that I had the correct version of Python installed, but that did not fix the problem. Now, each time I start Firefox, I receive this error message. I also tried upgrading to the Firefox 4 beta version, but downloading the Python extension into that version of Firefox caused Firefox to crash and become unusable.

    I have the same problem with exactly the same settings and can't find a solution.

    You can escape the error message by disabling the python ext.
    Then you can at least use zotero but not word integration, which does not solve the problem :(

    workaround: You might consider to use again zotero 2.0. But you have to do some changes manually. zotero 2.0 works fine with wordIntegration on mac.
    Does not work for me. I did already a lot insertions in zotero 2.1 without noticing that word integrator does not work. I can't go back.

    hope that the problem will be fixed soon. Need to do some urgent writings.

    to install Python Ext.
    Restart Firefox
    Error: The Zotero MacWord Integration installation succeeded, but a necessary component does not appear to be loaded properly….
    I pressed Restart
    No changes, again same error as above
    I pressed Cancel

    This is an issue related to Leopard. Unfortunately, I don't have a Leopard machine to test on, but I think I may have fixed this in the MacWord Integration Trunk XPI. If you could try it and let me know if it works, that would be great.
