Standalone installation for mac osx 10.4

I installed the standalone dmg, and when i open the application, it just opened and closed immediately.

any help?!

also i cant seem to install the plugin for safari.

    Zotero Standalone requires Mac OS X 10.5 or later (as will Firefox 4). I'll update the documentation to make this clearer.
