Removing tags en masse?

Hello,
Is there a way to remove tags en masse? I have recently imported a large library into Zotero from another program and would like to remove all the tags that were previously assigned to these materials. (I have already integrated them into my larger Zotero library, I hope not too hastily!) Do I really have to remove the tags from each entry individually?

    You can delete a tag - all occurrences of it - by right-clicking on it in the tag selector box and choosing Delete. If needed, more information about the tag selector box can be found in this sceencast: http://www.zotero.org/documentation/tag_selector_box_screencast.

    You'd still need to delete one tag at a time with this method. Maybe it's possible to delete all the tags at once by manipulating (a copy of) the Zotero database from the command line, but I'm not sure how.
