Connector for Firefox?
Hello,
I really like the standalone version. Despite being an alpha, it works better than the beta FF Zotero (at least on my machine).
I would like to use only the standalone version, especially because I noticed that the Zotero plugin slows down my FF noticably.
Is there a connector for FF in the making, so that you can import directly from FF into the standalone without having the FF Zotero plugin installed?
Thanks for your work, I really appreciate it.

ajlyonThis is something I'm interested in as well. The performance boost of things like searches and indexing not tying up Firefox would be welcome. It seems silly, I suppose, to want Zotero to run in XULrunner when Firefox is open anyway, but -- I think it would improve the experience for many people, at least until Zotero is able to do its crunching without interfering with normal Firefox browsing.

SimonThis is happening. We are going to take a slightly different approach from the current connectors, and continue to run the translators in Firefox, but push the items back to Standalone. I'm still tweaking this to work. Eventually, we will also adapt the Chrome and Safari plug-ins to do the same where possible as well, since it will allow them to save items without Standalone running.
