OO integrations requires Zotero 2.1a1.SVN even though 2.1b2 installed

I keep getting the error:

"This version of Zotero OpenOffice Integration requires Zotero 2.1a1.SVN or later to run. Please download the latest version of Zotero from zotero.org."

when trying to install the OO Integration tools. I've tried unzipping the zotero@chnm.gmu.edu.xpi file in the Firefox Profile directory, but Firefox just removes the directory and extension when restarted. Re-adding the extension via zotero.org and restarting Firefox gives me a yellow warning triangle through the 'Zotero' logo on the add-on bar.

The environment is a Lenovo T61P running 64-bit Windows 7, OO 3.2.1, Firefox 'Minefield' 4.0b9pre 64-bit. I've since downgraded to Firefox 4.0beta8, and I still either get the Zotero logo with a yellow warning triangle, or after unzipping the xpi and restarting firefox the directory is deleted.

How can I get everything working properly?
  • I dug in the error console for a bit, and came up with these:

    Error: [Exception... "Component returned failure code: 0x80520012 (NS_ERROR_FILE_NOT_FOUND) [nsIFileInputStream.init]" nsresult: "0x80520012 (NS_ERROR_FILE_NOT_FOUND)" location: "JS frame :: chrome://zotero/content/xpcom/schema.js :: _getSchemaSQLVersion :: line 1004" data: no]

    Line: 185

    then a couple of

    Error: Zotero is undefined
    Source File: chrome://zotero/content/overlay.xul
    Line: 528
