Science Direct is mostly broken - where you get results they mostly come through the DOI translator:
http://www.zotero.org/support/known_translator_issues
Snapshots definitely don't work. The snapshot only captures the wrapper, not the article itself.
This link (which will go to SD), for example: article. When I try to capture that as a snapshot, all I see is the top and side bars, not the article itself.
but it gets the pdf.
Fixing snapshots is usually not feasible - either the page dump script - the third party code Zotero uses to take snapshots - works or it doesn't, this is nothing the translators even affects.
I have problems with www.sciencedirect.com too. I access it though our university proxy since zotero automatically sends me that way around, but zotero is not able to create citations from any paper or entry in www.sciencedirect.com or scopus... it would be nice if it could...
