Unfortunately this is not the case. By the way, these are all renamed files (previously looking like this: UR - PM:2358523) which now contain the url of medline
(UR - http://www.jneurosci.org/cgi/content/abstract/21/12/4249), maybe there's a character in that doesn't belong there? My aim would be that the URL shows only in the right column not as attachment, similar as for the items ending up in the notes instead of in the right column.
concerning N1 -: The note (N1 -) is imported exactly as it is in Refman.
Already in the source database notes contain information that should be in other fields (ISSN/ISBN) for example. In zotero a note is displayed always as an attachment and in the notes tab of the right column. This happens also if you enter a note by hand.
concerning UR -: it is by design of the RIS translator that UR, and L1 to L4 are imported as attachments. For me this decision is fine, as it is well-arranged to have full text and links to the full text (or other additional information) as attachments to the reference. To change this behavior you would have to change the translator...
I wasn't able to import directly from RefMan, but I've managed to import my RefMan bibliography by first importing the RIS file into Endnote (with the 30 day trial) and then exporting the Endnote to RIS (again).
To import to Endnote go to http://endnote.com/support/faqs/endnote/import and then click on the answer for importing from Reference Manager.
To import Endnote's RIS to Reference Manager: http://www.zotero.org/support/kb/importing_records_from_endnote (note: the "File Attachments" change was already in place).
