we have no idea what you're talking about so far.
  • These don't even look like Zotero errors. Try disabling all other Firefox extensions.
  • I am sorry, I typed it up but for some reason I think it did not post.
Ok I was writing my thesis and then I decided to add a citation, all of a sudden the Word file crashed. When I reopened it all I can see are numbers in the whole page (Page 1 just number 1, page 2 number 2 and so on....).
The last post was actually a error report in Zotero that I copied and paste and the ID it created was: 1645675884.
I had about 130 pages in my document and I do not know how to recover it, if it can be recovered at all.

Please any help I would appreciate a lot.
  • Thanks Ajlyon,

    But,
All extensions Firefox has right now are those ones: unless I can't see them.
    Zotero 2.0.9
    Zotero MacWorld integration 3.0b7
    PythonExt 2.6.2.20100203
  • I don't know what to say-- hopefully our experts on the Word plugin can chip in-- but it would be useful to clarify what "Tumor Necrosis Factor" is. Is that something from the text of your document? Or is it the title of a paper you were trying to cite?
  • The error report had more information than that, but the website for some reason cut off my post in the middle. Tumor necrosis factor is the title of the paper was trying to cite in very moment it crashed.

    Thanks
  • In that case we'll definitely have to wait and see what the core Zotero team can say about the error report-- ordinary joes like me can't read submitted error reports. Hopefully we can give you some useful information and direction.
  • I'm not quite sure what the error in the error report is, but regardless, Zotero shouldn't be able to crash Word, and certainly shouldn't be able to cause document corruption, since it communicates with Word using only public APIs. You can email the document to support@zot...org and we'll see if we can figure out what's wrong with it.
