Upgrade Storagechanging of the citation language
Hey,
I`m using a Mac and MS Word 2008 and Firefox 3.6.13 (german Version) with Zotero 2.1 Beta.
I`m a non native English speaker (what you surely noticed before)
My problem: The citation style appears always in english (exp: PP instead of Seite)
Do you have any hints for me?

For German, the language code is "de-DE".
edit: Wenn Du einen deutschen FF benutzt, sollte der Link von Rintze eigentlich nicht relevant sein, aber Du kannst es trotzdem mal probieren.
ja, ich benutze den deutschen Firefox. Zusätzlich habe ich jetzt im about:config den Parameter extensions.zotero.export.bibliographyLocale auf "de-DE" (ohne die "") gesetzt. Firefox neu gestartet aber leider bleibt es bei der englischen Version.
Als zitierstiel verwende ich einen eigenen (abgeänderten Chicago Style). Dort steht in der ersten XML Zeile
<style xmlns="http://purl.org/net/xbiblio/csl" class="note" xml:lang="en">
und unter Terms
<terms>
<locale xml:lang="de">
<term name="accessed">zugegriffen am</term>
</locale>
</terms>
Vielleicht noch ein Hinweis, es ging bis zum kürzlichen Update von Firefox mit den bekannten Einschränkungen beim Mac (Einstellungen nur im engl Browser, Arbeiten dann im deutschen)
Was kann ich sonst noch tun?

Es könnte sein, dass die Übersetzungen noch nicht in der beta Version sind.
Edit: Am Stil liegt es wohl nicht - das sieht alles sehr sauber aus.
Wenn es an der Zotero Version 2.1 Beta liegt frage ich mich nur warum es vor 1 Woche noch auf dem Mac funktionierte?
Du müsstest Deinen Stil erst upgraden bevor er bei Anne funktioniert - hier steht wie das quasi automatisch geht:

Ich habe das Stylesheet wie beschrieben "upgedated". Auf dem Mac installiert. Auswirkung auf dem Mac keine...
dann habe ich meinen Windows PC auf Zotero 2.1 beta Upgedate das obige (ugedatete Stylesheet installiert) und siehe da, bei meinem Windows PC ist es nun auch in Englisch.
Nach Änderung des Parameters "extensions.zotero.export.bibliographyLocale" von "" in "de-DE" ändert sich nichts.
Hast Du noch eine Idee?

An alternative way to force de-DE (German) localization would be to use the default-locale attribute in the CSL 1.0 style. See http://citationstyles.org/downloads/upgrade-notes.html#default-locale
Danke. Aber leider ist es immer noch "verbugged". Aktueller Stand:
Ich "wollte" die o.g. Hinweise probieren, dabei habe ich festgestellt das
a) Der installierte eigene Stiel nach dem Upgrade von 2.09 auf 2.1 beta zwar vorhanden ist aber defekt ist. Die Formatierung stimmt, die Sprache nicht. Wichtig:er lässt sich in dem Test pane nicht ändern. D.h. meiner Meinung nach XML Fehler. Wo der liegt kann ich nicht sagen.
b) Wenn ich den über die Seite http://www.shell-tools.net/index.php?op=xslt upgedaten Style ins leere Test Pane kopiere geht auch nichts (XML Fehler?)

Dann bin ich zurück auf 2.09 und alles funktioniert wieder.

D.h. offensichtlich sind XML/CSL inkompatibilitäten in meiner Source, die über das Shell-Tool nicht behoben wurden.
Gibt es noch eine Alternative den CSL Code auf 1.0 zu bringen ohne es Blockweise im Test pane auszuprobieren?
Ich bin leider so hartnäckig an 2.1 Beta interessiert da wohl die Mac/Office Kombination wohl nur dort funktioniert. D.h. Wenn es eine Möglichkeit gibt Mac/Office mit 2.09 zu betreiben bin ich auch glücklich.

There is a known issue with the test panel in the 2.1 version - generally it should work, but it doesn't refresh automatically after changes, like the 2.0.9 one does. Any other problems I'm not aware of - but have you tried validating the converted 1.0 style?

if it validates to the 1.0 csl schema this should really work. If not, the validation errors might both help you fix it and Frank&friends improve the conversion script.
I have no idea what you or Anne are referring to with the lack of Mac Office compatibility for 2.0.9. To the best of my knowledge, there is a working Mac Office plugin for MS 2004, 2008, and 2011.

I'm not aware of any issues with that except for the fact that you need the modified python ext linked to from that site (and that the plugin is in the word script menu rather than a toolbar like in Office Windows and Ooo)

thanks!! I have "downgraded" Annes Mac to 2.09, all works fine!!
I trusted her, when she said "i need beta on Mac".
At this time it's in my oppinion not necassary to upgrade so we can close this discussion
