Can not save from Amazon

I have tried for days, even erased Zotero and downloaded it again. I always get the Could not Save Item message. Here is the info from my firefox and Mac versions. Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.4; en-US; rv:1.9.2.13) Gecko/20101203 Firefox/3.6.13. I checked for extensions and addons that could be getting on the way but there is no problem there. I can save from other sites. My report ID 1681408753. Thank you!
  • Can you provide a sample URL for an item that doesn't save? The only known issue is that Kindle editions don't save, since Amazon doesn't include data for them in its API, which Zotero uses.
  • note that Kindle books don't work (amazon doesn't provide the metadata for some reason).
  • Here are just a couple of examples, but it doesn’t work with any book. And these are not kindle editions. Thank you again!

  • Those work for me, so there must be something interfering in your case.

Dan, others: Can you take a look at jehnchan's error report?
  • TypeError: texts[1] is undefined
    Those pages work for me.
  • So there's something wrong with the response that you are getting from Amazon. I've added an extra debug line to the translator. Please go to http://github.com/ajlyon/zotero-bits/raw/master/Amazon.com.js and save the file to the translators directory of your Zotero data directory (http://www.zotero.org/support/zotero_data).

Then create debug output (http://www.zotero.org/support/debug_output) for an attempt to save from Amazon, and submit the debug and error reports, and post the IDs here.
