How to cite a reference within a paper?

Hi, I have recently moved from end note to zotero and find the program very pleasant to use.

but I was wondering if zotero has the functionalliyy to reference within a reference automatically? e.g:

XXXXXXXXX cited by: XXXXXXXXXXX
  • keravati,

I'm not sure what you mean by "automatically," and I'm also not sure exactly what you are wanting to do, but does this thread help?
  • Thank you for your guidance arggem,

I read the thread but it is simillar but not exactly what I would like to do.

What I wanted to do say for example i am reading a review paper which will link to many different articles. My project supervisor has told me that if I am taking information from the review paper but the review paper has referenced that piece of information then I must enter the original source of information (which I havn't read) but in my bibliography(citation) will be like this:

bla bla bla bla bla vancouver style bla bla bla [1]

[1] Original Source Author. Original Source Title. in: Author. Review paper's title. Review paper's journal. etc...

so I was wondering if there is a feature for this as it will be a pain to edit a 100 or so reference.
  • Adamsmith apparently knew what you wanted and I didn't. See his answer.
