Insert citation word default

Hi everyone,

I'd assume this has been discussed before, but I couldn't find it. Hence:

Is it possible to change the default for Word 2011 Mac OS integration from

(author, year)

to

author (year)?

Or even changing it with the editor, so that the formatting would, if so, update?
I'm using the standard APA style.

Cheers
  • use suppress author in the plugin and type the name in word.
  • Ah interesting idea, will try it.
However, isn't that rather error-prone (and less practical), especially with many co-authors?
  • the thought is that everything that's part of the text - i.e. necessary for complete sentences - is typed in word - that way you can, for example, switch seamlessly to footnoted or numerical styles. I don't think it's particularly error prone and in most cases it's two names max - if you want to, you can use show editor in the plugin, copy the authors, than check the supress author box and paste the authors into word.
