compatibility between zotero now and future everywhere

I want to start using zotero. however, I've just read about the future 'zotero everywhere' and am pretty sure that I will want to use that when it comes out - either as standalone, or with chrome. My question is - If I start using it now with firefox, will all my database information be transferable to the new zotero everywhere? I need to absolutely sure of this, because it will be a huge amount of files and notes and complex tagging system, and I wouldn't want to have to start from scratch. If there is any doubt, then I'd rather wait and not start using zotero until the new one comes out.

    Yes. Zotero Standalone will use the same local database, in fact, and you will be able to switch back and forth between that and Zotero for Firefox (as long as you're running equivalent versions).
