Pasting citation into word

It seems like when I copy a citation and paste it into word that it is pasted into a table. Is this correct? It really adds to the struggle of formatting in word. Thanks
  • for numerical citations that's true yes - for other citation styles not.
  • Can you explain the difference between numerical and others?
  • 1. Author. Title, etc.
    is numerical

    Author. Title, etc.
    is not numerical.
  • I want to use an American Chemical Society style, but they all seem to be numeric. I can change this or do I just need to find a similar one that is not numeric? Thanks again
  • using a numerical style with cut and paste is odd - what are you trying to do exactly? Why not use a plugin?

Also, since the references are all at the end, you can just use Word's transform table to text function to get rid of the table in one go.
  • Right now I am working on a fairly informal document where I want to just put in a citation, not a formal bibliography. I did not know about the table to text function and will look into that. Also did not know about the plug in. Is this a separate install?
