I don't know what happened. I was in Google docs while trying to synchronize. Google docs stopped working as well.

    you'll need to provide a better description of what isn't working.
    Are you getting a sync error, is Firefox crashing, is syncing just taking very long etc.
    If you don't take the time to properly describe what's going on, no one here can help you.

    Firefox did not crash. The sync was taking very long. I continued working in Google docs. Both came back with error messages after a few minutes. The error message in Google docs required me to reload, knowing I had just lost part of my work. The error message for Zotero asked me to report, which I did, it came back fast with the report number. It said that the problem would not be adressed unless it be posted in the forum. Here I am. That is all I can report. No paraphrasing, no attitude. I am not knowledgable, not savyy with computers. The report number was in the title all along: 1618095093 . What else do you need, maybe I know something but I don't know that it is what you need.

    that's the part that isn't clear to any of us - how did you get an error message for Zotero? Was there a sign over the sync button? A Firefox pop-up? Did you first click on report error?
    In the first two cases, what exactly (verbatim) did the error message say? In the latter case, why do you thing sync failed?

    I cannot pinpoint any event in particular that triggered the first popup. It had been what seems over 5 minutes (maybe 10) that I had pressed the green sync button on my zotero windows. At first the green arrow was turning and it stopped. I thought it might had finally ended but revised that because the first time I had used sync (this is the second) it had taken a very long time. I continued working on Google docs - the window had been opened all along. When both zotero and Google docs stopped, google offered a window. There was an exclamation point next to the green arrow. Clicking it, a first window for zotero appeared. It asked me to report. A second window confirmed a number and the obligation to write in the forum for it to be addressed.

    Sorry for the delay I crashed. The exclamation point has now gone.
