Inconsistent in-text citation problem using Annals of the Assoc. of American Geographers
Some of my in-line citations have appeared in the correct format (author last name year), while others haven't (this is w/in the same research paper). Here's an example of what I'm seeing:
(Paul Sabatier 1987; Weible 2008).
Why is the first name of the author appearing for one of the citations? In fact, the citations for this author (Paul Sabatier) appear incorrectly throughout my report. I've checked how the information appears w/in Zotero and it looks fine there, but not in my word doc.
Thanks

This is an old discussion that has not been active in a long time. Instead of commenting here, you should start a new discussion. If you think the content of this discussion is still relevant, you can link to it from your new discussion.
However, the citations in my paper are still the same. Here's an example: (Paul Sabatier and Jenkins-Smith 1993; P A Sabatier 1988; Jenkins-Smith and Paul A. Sabatier 1994; Weible 2008).
I manually changed Sabatier;s name to Sabatier Paul in Zotero, but am still getting the same result.
Thanks
You have to make sure that the given names are entered EXACTLY the same in the items you reference. So change all of the Sabatier given names to "Paul A." in your zotero library. That should fix it.
