Conflict Ad block plugins?

I have stopped Google ad´s from pestering my web browser. Seems to me that Zotero opposes this..

    what exactly is happening? How are you stopping google ads? Provide more details, please.
    Adblock plus is, in general, compatible with Zotero, though there is a problem with NYTs snapshots and adblock.

    I´m right now at my job PC, but as far as I can remember it must be via the host file..I can check later today (GMT +1). I also use, on different machines, the FF NoScript AddOn.
