Open Office plugin doesn't work

I'm using Ubuntu 10.10, Firefox 3.6.12, and OpenOffice 3.2.

After installing the plugin for OpenOffice, I get the following message each time I open Firefox. "Zotero OpenOffice Integration could not complete installation because an error occurred. Please ensure that OpenOffice is closed, and then restart Firefox." I followed the steps on the troubleshooting page and tried to follow the steps others have used on the discussion board, but haven't been able resolve the problem.

    try completely uninstalling openjdk - in a bunch of cases people have reported conflicts with JDK installed.

    I got the same error message after uninstalling OpenJDK. Any other suggestions?

    What are your paths in Tools->Add-ons->Extensions->Zotero OpenOffice Integration? What happens if you click the "Detect Paths" button there?

    The path was wrong. I followed the directions in the troubleshooting section for correcting the problem and everything works now. I'm an Ubuntu newbie and really appreciate the help.
