Sometimes references include initials
Sometimes the initials are included in the reference. I use zotero with the open office plug-in.
Here is an example:
In zotero, Thong is lastname and J.Y.L his initials J.Y.L is not include in the reference
Yap is lastname and C.S are the initials of the second writer but his initials are for some reason included.
