Have not synced in a week

Zotero has been trying to sync for the past week but it has been stopping and a red icon has popped up next to the sync arrow. Also, there has been two files trying to download themselves to my computer vie my internet download manger.

Could this files have something to do as to why Zotero is not syncing from my computer?

    It sounds like your download manager is intercepting the incoming files -- try disabling it.

    Well I have two questions:

    1. What are these files?
    2. Why are they downloading to my computer?

    Even if I turn the download manager off, my firewall will block since both of these files usually try to download during the night.
